This is Geoff recording a track at home, with Peter Nicholls (IQ), so that Peter could take the tape away and work out what his contribution to the joint album they were planning. Sadly the album never came to be because of Geoff's untimely passing.
lyrics
Stranger in pain
This lame street citizen
Denizen doped in a cardboard city
Cash flow feelings hunt your hurting
Hands and feet all numbed ignored
Hail the king! The worship rises
Hail the king of death and pain
Cashing in on Human suffering
Business dinnertimes by train
Over all and in all weather
Make success your god or fail
Fail to eat and fail to shimmer
Goodbye stranger – failed again

This is an absolutely fantastic collection featuring near perfect newer run-downs of the Atlantis suite and Wedge tracks (with Rat Racing being my definitive entrance to this period, wonderful) as well as great and heavy concert sessions of The Cross and the Crucible and Sanctuary (personal favourite). My favourite bundle so far. futureperfect93

I remember the excitement when The Sentinel was released having seen the band live a few times before. I loved the album but was aware that there were tracks missing and it had been rumoured that it was to be a double album. To hear all these takes and works in progress takes me right back to the 80's and the buzz of all the new prog that was coming out back then. This is an absolutely essential purchase for any Pallas fan. nuttinikki

Great to catch up on the early years and see the development of songs. Never got to see the band live as the trilogy tour got cancelled before reaching Loughborough, though I still have the poster somewhere. clousseau
On his first studio LP, the Nigerien guitarist aligns himself with late overseas icons like Prince, Hendrix, and Dick Dale. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 4, 2019

It's all a matter of taste. I love this album. I love it's serenity, the beautiful instrumentation, orchestration and the great production. Ambient is not my cup of tea either, but this album crosses the borders of ambient music and prog. In other words: an awesome album! Martin Melis
