Rook-wing beaten air surrounding
Evening senses song to sound
About above beyond me happening
You the wading through I am
This time passage missile speeding
Slowed with fearful thoughts of death
My bereavements known and guessed at
In your hands Lord, in your hands
Commit this mind made heartfelt feeling
Dusk devoured and spewed in night
With the dancing planets racing
All to come to you
I come crossbound naked, question seeking
Slash to join of flesh and blood
Challenged hope as prayer arising
Into all that stands aloof
Christ above me
Christ within me
Christ above beyond entire
This the evensong I offer
Rooks-wing beaten air
My spire.

This is an absolutely fantastic collection featuring near perfect newer run-downs of the Atlantis suite and Wedge tracks (with Rat Racing being my definitive entrance to this period, wonderful) as well as great and heavy concert sessions of The Cross and the Crucible and Sanctuary (personal favourite). My favourite bundle so far. futureperfect93

I remember the excitement when The Sentinel was released having seen the band live a few times before. I loved the album but was aware that there were tracks missing and it had been rumoured that it was to be a double album. To hear all these takes and works in progress takes me right back to the 80's and the buzz of all the new prog that was coming out back then. This is an absolutely essential purchase for any Pallas fan. nuttinikki

Great to catch up on the early years and see the development of songs. Never got to see the band live as the trilogy tour got cancelled before reaching Loughborough, though I still have the poster somewhere. clousseau
On his first studio LP, the Nigerien guitarist aligns himself with late overseas icons like Prince, Hendrix, and Dick Dale. Bandcamp Album of the Day Apr 4, 2019

It's all a matter of taste. I love this album. I love it's serenity, the beautiful instrumentation, orchestration and the great production. Ambient is not my cup of tea either, but this album crosses the borders of ambient music and prog. In other words: an awesome album! Martin Melis
