TV is switched on The screen reveal a spokesperson Adverts, politics, editing the real Cheap words, money talks Naming itself to be the key To Utopia, Cornucopia To a better world you go buy and buy And if you listen carefully You can hear the bacon fly Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! History shows that policy demands weapons Selfish desires simply lead to pain The chit-chat continues A big pretence that divides Into power blocks Where the orthodox Have a propaganda war to fight (You know they'll fight it, all right...) And if you're looking closely You can see that black is white Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! If the "unthinkable" should happen And you hear the sirens call Well you can always find some shelter Behind a door against the wall Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh! Don't make me laugh!

Life and death are fought out on a screen Words and pictures jostle there But are not clearly seen Selfishness and greed like driven rain Soak into the pilgrim soul Prepared to feel pain Down here… Samples of the merchandise displayed The killer’s tools the toys for fools The thugs love to parade Expenses in this business world are high The average plan takes what it can The rest must do or die Down here… Time and time again we’re torn Between the world we’re longing for And the one in which we’re born Oh Lord can’t you magic it alright? Is there no answer? “…You say your love stands until the weather breaks On the other side of the storm You say it’s mercy that hold judgment back That love prefers reform All the promises you make Are met in the bread we break It’s a cross-road onto which your shadow falls Your love’s not cheap at all… You say we see you in the Servant King In whose sufferings we are healed You say we need turn around and see The love we seek revealed If we’ll lower the shield of lies If we’ll drop all our disguise You have shed forgiveness Life-blood for us all Your love’s not cheap at all Desire to share must proclaim what is missed The promise of Your full embrace For all who had You kissed However often this worlds lies are told The power of Your promises still holds They make bold They comfort and empower us Where garbage sells as gold Down here…

Everybody has wisdom everyone understands Food when we are hungry The touch of loving hands No one is anyone's property No one should be a slave The joining of hearts in free will Begins a tidal wave Don't hold back Don't think that hope is pointless Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door Don't believe That life is closed against us Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door And it doesn't make any difference The colour of anyone's skin We need the rejection of prejudice Let peace come flooding in Jealousy is just a parasite hatred is disease Respect for human dignity Become skittering wind blown leaves Don't hold back Don't think that hope is pointless Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door Don't believe That life is closed against us Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door The time is surely coming when we could all be free When eyes for so long blinded In opening shall see That children may grow happily Safe in the love of all The earth a fertile garden where nobody need crawl Don't hold back Don't think that hope is pointless Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door Don't believe That life is closed against us Love is a, love is a, Love is a, love is an open door And if it seems that your hoping heart Has led you into pain Take a tip from the carpenter Forgive and love again And again

FIND YOUR FEET So many questions Nobody giving the answers Yet you ask them all in good faith So many feelings Nobody wants to share Well you feel them anyway Welcome to the human race The glory and the sadness May you find your pathway home May you find your feet upon it So many problems So many proffered solutions That lead to more confusion So many needing something more than diagnosis But where is healing to be found? Welcome to the human race The glory and the sadness May you find your pathway home May you find your feet upon it Let's walk a while So we turn our separate ways And we try to make it home But you know we'll never get there on our own We need a guide who loves us I hear a baby crying under his star... Welcome to the human race The glory and the sadness May you find your pathway home May you find your feet upon it Welcome to the human race The glory and the sadness May you find your pathway home May you find your feet upon it We're going home now... DANCE Psalm 150; John 11; Romans 6:1-11 Word of God came looking for me Deep into this corner of the room Where I hid head in gloom Asked me "Who do you say I am? Listen to the song of truth I sing - It's got a beat of angels wings" I think I'll get up and dance Dance Deep into the gleaming spotlight Knees are shaking Feet they lead me on towards the Heavenly song Suddenly, I feel a movement filling me up From head to toe - oh! It makes me want to g-g-go get up and dance Dance I can feel a heartbeat moving on the edge On the edge of my vision like a flashing light It is the dawning of the new life Where I stand free on the plain without the chains Where I can move my limbs and move my mouth and move my soul Into freedom dance Dance, keep dancing, dancing Jesus came off the Cross And left it all behind Him Defeated Death fell from Him like an empty sack That once held rubbish Rising rising into forever Dragging us behind Him If we will only give our lives into His hands He'll teach us to dance Dance...

So tough - Nothing touches you So hard - nobody's pain gets through So Deep - your tears are diamonds So mean - you're giving none away I can't look at you without crying inside This time - you made your indecisions No gifts - you make your lovers pay See through - your every smile transparent I know you could be more than this I can't look at you without crying inside So long - the second's legs seem broken So tired - but you can't get the rest Why try? Why make the moments happen? You tense - and try another trap I can't look at you without crying inside I can't look at you without crying inside I can't look at you without crying

Cross the snow white, cross the Bible pages open From the word upon the cross Do you hear the trumpet call? - and can you bear it? From the heart of a cold cell deep in Russia Do you hear the man in chains Proclaim Him for us all - and are you near him? One of the things you get with the Holy Spirit is trouble Praise the Lord and ask for more I'd rather serve the Lord than make friends with the devil And that's one thing I know for sure Many prophets have arisen false and greedy Bringing miracles and signs To say that God is dead - well don't believe them! Jesus Christ the King of Kings is in His glory He alone permits the strength To do any thing at all - it's Him who told us One of the things you get with the Holy Spirit is trouble Praise the Lord for these hard days When all the pride of this world has long since turned to rubble You'll be in heaven singing praise - hey Valeri! When the end comes as it must signs in the heavens Will it find you out of oil or brimming overflow - will you be ready? Russian snow and the greenback dollar melted Face to face no-one will doubt But every knee shall bow - and then the judgement One of the things you get with the Holy Spirit is trouble And that's something you've got to face But don't be scared, remember Jesus went before us Because he loves us took our place And now He says Go!!!

His love is a shield for the hopeless His love is a seed in the soil All of His love He will give you If you will learn to receive His love is worth far more than money His love is worth suffering and joy All of His love can live in you If you will only believe His love is a light on a tall stand His love is a shade in the heat His love is the gift of a clean heart His love drown the bitter with the sweet - His love All of the pain you will pass through The lies you will see bought and sold Will never destroy His love in you The Spirit of life that the grave cannot hold His love is a strong place to stand on His love causes blindness to see His love it is pure it is holy His love is forgiving and free - I'm grateful for His love So grateful for His love Undeserved for me He loved us so much he gave his only son More precious than the universe and all it holds He lived amongst us, bled and died in our place For the lashes the shortfalls of our sin Just to show us all His love All His love

John 6:2; Colossians 2:14 Caesars dancing on the brink Hate the poor because they stink Kalashnikovs the mullah’s clutch Killing hands regain their touch Ignorance and idol fear States of sin the sick revere Despair driven from the rear Hunters hunt the hunted Glibly stating that it’s all For God’s sake Both sides in war for blessings pray Scatter refugees from fields of play Financial farmers planting bombs Crops of death to prove a pointless point Catholic killers rant and rage Provo marxmen come of age Troubles conscience turning page Dredging obscure scripture That might justify more murder For God’s sake Haunted eyes in bloated skin Napalm babies weeping waifs of war Children always suffer most Innocents exploded into toast All of us in some way kill Unless we trust in Heaven’s will The only victory we need The three nails Our Lord buried Namely Pride, Death and Greed For God’s sake

Before you came and found me I was lost On Chaos's white horses turned and tossed With a word you pacified the waves Set my feet upon a road that leads to resurrection morning Gateway into Heaven, may I come through you Gateway into Heaven, no other way will do Dancing in the way you draw me near You are overwhelming draw me near Love can be alarming when it's this real Love that accepts crucifixion Just to bring us to communion Chorus You are like a treasure house a home Toward which all the lost and weary roam When we pray your spirit lifts us high Lifts us through a curtain torn from top to bottom Waving in your breeze Chorus Holy Spirit burning out so bright Illuminating even darkest night Crowning those who love you with new life O come Lord Jesus come and lead us home with you Toward the end of strife Chorus

This City 03:11
The abstracted shapes Of the people's thoughts Different shops and pubs All the cheap facades It is all this city It is all this city Wind shaken trees Half crumbling parks The enquiring eyes Fingers parting lace It is all this city It is all this city Long straggling queues Of the out of work A baby sucking sweets Dribbling down his quilt It is all this city It is all this city All this city

Eleanor Rigby picks up the rice in the church where a wedding has been Lives in a dream Waits at the window, wearing the face that she keeps in a jar by the door Who is it for? All the lonely people Where do they all come from? All the lonely people Where do they all belong? Father Mckenzie writing the words of a sermon that no one will hear No one comes near Look at him working, darning his socks in the night when there's nobody there What does he care? All the lonely people Where do they all come from? All the lonely people Where do they all belong? Ah look at all the lonely people... Eleanor Rigby died in the church and was buried along with her name Nobody came Father McKenzie wiping the dirt from his hands as he walks from the grave No one was saved All the lonely people Where do they all come from? All the lonely people Where do they all belong? Lyrics written by Lennon / McCartney.

I'd like to wish you well I'd like to wish you happiness I'd like to wish you peace Of the everlasting kind I'd like to wish you love Rich and deep and plentiful I wish you all the joy Of a free and quiet mind I'd like to wish you hope To see beyond the storm clouds I'd like to wish you faith A faith that you can share I'd like to wish you health Courage and compassion I wish you all the vision Of a heart equipped to care I'd like to wish you friends Who love you as they find you I wish you sense to seek Forgiveness that is true I wish you endless strength To learn to love your enemies For what you hate in them Has all been found in you I'd like to wish you patience Endurance and humility To hold to what is good Amongst the lies that tease us I'd like to wish you life A safe home for eternity In short I wish you all That you could find in Jesus

Magic man said "you know my dear You are living inside a dream Believing the things I do are what they seem Life is a trick that runs too quick For a volunteer from the crowd Volunteers only see what's been allowed" The players practice to deceive With paper flowers none perceive Disappearing down the top hat corridors Art and illusion The magic show won't let you go Magicians rehearse their sleights of hand They slip money-bags up their sleeves They saw you in half and then they turn to leave The tricks of the trade the ball games played By the jugglers centre stage Carefully handed down from age to age Conclusions made conclusions leapt Impressions lost and overstepped Shadows hide the truth with nobody the wiser (Chorus) They're only trying to tell you lies Trying to make you compromise To leave reality completely up to them (Chorus)

Easy to imagine, difficult to see We don't need, we don’t need, we don’t need, we don’t need their sympathy It seems pretty underhand all the lies they tell We don't need, we don’t need, we don’t need, we don’t need their sympathy They say, it’s all fantasy Love, we know is real We don't need, we don’t need, we don’t need, we don’t need their sympathy It will come together, we will all find our way We don't need, we don’t need, we don’t need, we don’t....

I am the ceiling, you are the floor above me rising into real I am deceiving, you are the honesty I pray that I could feel I am confusion, you are the thought that heals clarity of vision I am delusions, you are the target struck a shot of pure precision And how I love you Some may say it's all unreal, that's not the way I feel My heartbeat dance and play, nothing more to say… How well you know me, how much you show me As you lead me to my goal Ferryman row me across deep waters to the calm side of my soul Where we can beachcomb (Chorus) Trace the feeling back to source Adopt a different kind of course The change of heart, another place to start Secret steps are in your dance, the offer of a second chance The site renewed, a clearer point of view No longer need a careful plan, no longer be the also ran I laid my life down and I picked it up again Freedom! Along the way I sing celebration I sing for the new day Freedom! Now I know So long as we're together, there's nowhere that we cannot go I called your name, no words remained … enter! I am delivered, I am a baby born into your sacred peace I was a prisoner You were the key that opened locks for my release And Christ I love you (Chorus) Nothing more to say…

about

Recorded Delivery was originally destined to be released on the SI label (that issued a couple of Geoff's other albums, and the first CD version of TN's Live And Let Live album) but after its demise it became the first in a series of CDRs issued by Geoff's long-time friend and colleague, Andy Labrow. His original sleeve-notes are below.

However for this release, we decided to take the opportunity to add a few more tracks, hopefully ones Geoff himself would have approved of! They are drawn from various sources and we are grateful for all the help we have received in putting them together. We hope you like them.

Here are Andy's original sleeve-notes.
One of the many ideas Geoff would discuss (usually late at night. listening to Pink Floyd, whilst disposing of a bottle of Bulgarian red and a packet of beer nuts) was that of a live album. To be recorded at The Marquee in London, the band would consist of musicians drawn mainly from Geoff's previous bands, and they would perform songs
spanning his entire career. The album would be called ‘Recorded Delivery’.

Although we would endlessly select our favourite songs and musicians, which were different each time the discussion arose, it never progressed any further than a late-night debate.

With this release we have compiled a selection of live tracks from each of the main bands Geoff fronted. The tracks are not perfect, but they have been picked from the best available of the few gigs recorded. I hope you appreciate the selection. We have tried to choose recordings of interest, mostly in a different form to the original album version. ln
addition to the live tracks we have also included two studio demos.

The tracks on this album were all recorded from the sound desk and never intended to be released, and for that Geoff may stick a heavenly amplifier in my ear next time we meet. Although we have tried to enhance the quality there is an occasional wrong note, incorrect
lyric, slightly odd mix or tape imperfection. For this I would ask you to be forgiving. There are no overdubs and therefore the music on this CD is exactly as it was heard originally.
