All of the artists on this album are personal friends of Geoff, who have worked or recorded with him. In his memory they have contributed their services freely. This also applies to many of the studios, Wilebrord Elsing of SI Music, Andrew Labrow (the project co-ordinator) and Peter Labrow (the designer). This album is a joint production between Somewhere Here, Wobbly Records and SI Music.

In pulling together the digital online release of MANNERISMS, the newly formed trio of Devoil/Hughes/Labrow did some head scratching to think of ideas to expand this already meaty musical sandwich! As all the original tracks issued on Mannersims were recorded by the various artists especially for the Mannerisms album, there were no spares! We tried contacting McCartney/Springsteen/Young to contribute but for some reason they never returned our calls. The next best thing seemed that we should use some from the Mann himself! So the archive was once again retrieved from the pawn shop for the princely sum of one pound, where it has lain undisturbed for a number of years, and we got busy digitising and mastering more tracks! Our idea was to present a 'companion' album to Mannerisms, by featuring previously unreleased versions of the songs on the album performed by Geoff (and his various bands, including Twelfth Night). The result is a whole extra album of songs that have never before seen the light of day, but are now made lovingly available for you to download and enjoy. The trio would like to claim all the kudos for this! Some may argue that Geoff Mann* deserves some credit, after all he conceived, wrote, crafted, begged deals, slaved for hours in a studio and mastering suite, created lovingly drawn and painted artwork whilst being supported by his amazing wife and children, but hey, the bottom line is, we write the sleeve notes :-)
