Here I am again And inside your head Caressing, caressing, caressing away your care Caressing, caressing, caressing away your care Here I am again Hands behind your eyes Caressing, caressing, caressing away your dreams Caressing, caressing, caressing away your dreams Ah, how well you know me Confusion, ahhh confusion You wonder how much more you can take You wonder how much more you can deliver You wonder how much more you can be forced to partake Caressing, caressing, caressing away your care Caressing, caressing, caressing away your dreams Here I am once more Caressing, caressing, caressing away your personality Caressing, caressing, caressing away your love Erosion, erosion, erosion, erosion, erosion

Big Men 06:18
Big Men hold our fates in their manicured hands And say things to which we are deliver An awesome sense of will abounds When Big Men speak their throats are coal mines Coal Mines Their crocodile tears are beads of sweat Dripping from the armpits of a million, million minions Who work all their lives in order to buy their lives back From the Big Men From the Big Men Playground sounds bring a preference for harsher noises For clashing gears and metal in a tall sprung Whose violent mechanism rules with gathering incantation To whom human is enslaved for greater good And the word of the central body is law And the law is always but policy Neatly arranged And carefully voted for Of course Oh man Do not love your machine Oh man Do not love your machine Oh man Do not love your machines Your machines Your machines Your machines Your machines Your machines

Somewhere here The garden lies Its colours violent Patterns broken Silted under Somewhere here The garden lies Tipping barrows left Sprawled sideways Turning eyes Whose colour blue Is mirrored sifting sicknesses Grey, but it was beautiful Grey, but it was beautiful Grey, but it was beautiful Somewhere here The wreckage of Ninety-odd years of people's lives Being knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Knocked down Somewhere here I smell gas escaping Somewhere here I hear the water bubbling Hubble bubble, hibble bubble Hubble bibble, bubble hibble Bibble bubble bub bub bubble bubbling Out of broken pipes In the wreckages Somewhere here I hear six-year-old children telling each other to "fuck off" Somewhere here I feel a tear Trickling out of the weed-grown pavement Speaking of what might have been Somewhere here I sense the need for love Somewhere here I sense the need for love Somewhere here I sense the need for love Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Somewhere here Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Somewhere here Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Somewhere here Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Somewhere here Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Where them somewhere Here them somewhere Somewhere somewhere here

Oh Lord once more I place myself Quiet and semi-conscious of my illness For what I pray for this I pray The peace of heart and mind Found in your stillness Where I am too loud Solemn pride still holds me back Set in a mould I cannot crack So many things to face up to The distances I culture stand between us Long, drawn and cold The petri dish of scavenged sin Desiring in the end a touch of healing So appealing You looked at me with tears You washed away my fears With the promise of Hope hospital You know my every need You let compassion bleed I need the cure of your Hope hospital Oh Lord my understanding fails A long, long time before it brings me near you However I try My soul is blinded for your light A state of shock from breeding little evils Which work on the sly Let your presence pull The body beautiful Cross and crash into Hope hospital Riding demons too Could want to tell the clue That to Jesus is Hope hospital A greater love is in the world A love with such capacity for knowing Shadows of the secret dreams Betray the presence of a spirit glowing Knock on the door To know I'll let you in To quell the dancing din Casualty back in Hope hospital And you I ask you how Accept it simply now All along in a Hope hospital This soul an empty cup This soul is offered up For blood transfusion in Hope hospital The soul of all mankind The blind that lead the blind Cure confusion in Hope hospital Across the gap of time Across the web of crime Across the border to Hope hospital You are the cup of pain You are the quenching rain You are the body of Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital Hope Hope Hope hospital

You’re trying to tell me That there is nothing on the other side You’re trying to tell me That we should give up hope You’re trying to tell me That it’s a big black hole You’re trying to tell me That it’s all a waste of time Thanks for your friendship, anyway But I don’t believe you, must say You’re trying to tell me That there is nothing we can do You’re trying to tell me All horizons are false You’re trying to tell me That’s there is nothing that we can mean You’re trying to tell me That all in all it’s just a hoax Thanks for your friendship, anyway But I don’t believe you, must say You’re trying to tell me There is absolutely nothing left You’re trying to tell me That what we had is dust You’re trying to tell me That this life is all for nothing You’re trying to tell me That there is nothing in yours Thanks for your friendship, anyway But I don’t believe you, must say

Isn't it amazing? God became man and got nailed to a tree Isn't it amazing? That he should come and announce himself free Life is cheap stuff Proclaims the Devil Dangling deference claiming all Behind his tall City wall Isn't it amazing? How we all get so tired of living You know God really wants us to be Is love and share Trust and care To reveal Power and money Plots and paper Throw them in the air Watch the wind blow them away But your soul Throw that in the air Can you then last long With this feeling of emptiness? I bet you can't I bet you can't Voices Voices Out in the wilderness Voices Voices Out in the wilderness Listen to the voices What are they saying? They are saying we are tired of ten millenniums Of pointless bloody war They are saying we are sick of supporting systems Whose main concern is yellow metal They are saying enough is enough It's time for a change Voices Voices Out in the wilderness Listen to the voices What are they saying? Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace I need His love Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace Give us peace I need His love Giving and receiving Sweet Jesus believe in We can start with dreaming A lasting unity with God Who has such a voice? Who has such a voice? I have You have We all have I have You have We all have I have You have We all have We all have Now is the time Within which time Runs out a race as gladly Into eternity If you feel so inclined Christ will raise your soul and mind Upwards out of this morass Of mortality’s obsessions Upwards from your flaws Upwards through death's ceilings Upwards out of ego Upwards into Jesus Upwards out of hell Upwards towards heaven And beyond And beyond And beyond

Oh you hear us And now and then we all replace True sentiment with nothing But sentimentality Oh you hear us And now and then we all get selfish And hurt the people we care for And now and then And now and then And now and now Forever And when I asked Why I did not have all the love I needed I got my answer I got my answer Because I did not give away All that I had

Refugee go aimless on to leave behind your pain Worship cash in temporal temples Back turned to the rain Words rush through the air To form a blast of sickened breath Eyeless idols blankly stare into the solid dusk Nostrils wrinkling on the stenches which leak put from their husks Letting innocence be hanged and thrown down in the dust Gathering round the big machines now left to rot and rust Department stores sell shiny sores to stick upon your skin Design their special goods to fall apart when you’re not in Intricate imbalances drop earthwards shafts of light From crushed and broken clouds whose creaking mass devours the night Your ladies wear bright ribbons and stand baying at the moon Your men rub ashes into their faces with a tarnished silver spoon Men in khaki uniform perfect a reverend skill Dictated by a bunkered big man whom knows his power drill Doesn’t it sound crazy to you?

about

The first 9 tracks are Geoff's first solo album from 1984, recorded shortly after he left Twelfth Night. Tracks 10 and 11 are Clive's Orchestral interpretations of these classic Geoff songs, with Geoff's original vocals being incorporated alongside Clive's new score. Tracks 12-15 are Geoff's original demos of some of the songs that would make it onto the finished album while Tracks 16-21 are from an impromptu home performance to an audience of two! Finally, Tracks 22-26 are from The Marquee in London where Geoff, armed with an acoustic guitar and Roland the drum machine, was the support act for an IQ Show.
